The Institute’s Technical Services team, for the benefit and guidance of members and other stakeholders, functions to provide timely and relevant technical resources on auditing, accounting, and ethical matters.
The Technical Services team assists the Accounting Standards Board and Auditing Standards and Ethics Committee of the Institute.
The department plays a leading role in the adoption process of the accounting, auditing, and ethics standards. The team also provides technical implementation support on auditing, financial reporting, and ethics-related matters by responding to members’ enquiries and issuing a wide range of publications and guidance.
The department also coordinates and shares perspectives on technical matters with the regulators (SECP and SBP), international bodies, and forums (IASB, IAASB, IESBA, AOSSG, AAOIFI, Belt and Road Initiative Accounting Forum, CAPA, SAFA) and standard-setting bodies of other jurisdictions.
The department is headed by the Director and the team comprises experienced Chartered Accountants.
