Directors’ Orientation Training Program (DOTP)

The Directors’ Orientation and Training Program (DOTP) is directly linked with the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 (PSC Rules)) issued by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in 2013 (SRO 180/2013) dated March 8, 2013.

Learning Outcome

The learning outcome would satisfy the objectives of the PSC Rules and would be in accordance with the clause (11) of the (PSC Rules). The overall learning outcomes of the program are:

a) Enable the directors to have

1. better understanding of specific context under which directors operate
2. awareness of PSC Rules and applicable laws, and
3. better comprehend their duties and responsibilities;

b) To acquaint them with wider scope of responsibilities, propagate due diligence and acting in good faith while effectively managing the interests of the Public Sector Companies.

The DOTP is a Pakistan-specific course and will be concentric with the specific industry and environment of the organization.
