This is in furtherance of the Press Release dated November 02, 2023 issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in respect of constitution of a Committee to review the manner of conduct of shareholder meetings by the companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. The copy of the press release is attached for ready reference.
It is momentous to mention that the Committee constituted for this purpose includes representations from the ICAP and has commenced its review and deliberation process. As part of the proceedings, the Committee has considered it important that the comments and feedback from relevant stakeholders are obtained in order to improve the effectiveness of the above referred meetings.
In this regard, all concerned members are invited to share their comments in relation to the areas specified in the aforesaid Press Release. The comments and feedback can be provided either through email at Sumaira.siddiqui@secp.gov.pk with copy at dtscomments@icap.org.pk latest by November 20, 2023 stating ‘Committee of Shareholders’ Meetings’ in the subject line.
